Berne can be reached comfortably and directly with international high-speed trains, such as the InterCityExpress (ICE) from Berlin, the Eurocity from Brussels, the TGV from Paris, and the Cisalpino from Milano. There are night trains from Barcelona and Rome direct to Berne, from Vienna, Graz and Budapest to Zurich and from Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg and Amsterdam to Basel.
