6.6.1  Day trip to Basel, Saturday, July 14
 
Coach trip from Berne to Basel and return to Berne.
 
We will visit the University Library of Basel where we can see unique map specimens (responsible: Dominik Hunger).
 
After a short stroll through the old part of the city and lunch, we will visit the Swiss Museum for Paper, Writing and Printing which offers demonstrations of papermaking and type-founding with old machines.
 
We will return to Berne towards the evening. Alternatively, you may take a direct bus from Basel to the airport of Basel-Mulhouse, or board a train to the airport of Zurich. However, these transfers are not included in the price.
