The American Friends of the J. B. Harley Research Fellowships Inc. are delighted to support participation at ICHC2007 through the provision of travel grants. Eligibility is limited to those whose proposals to give papers or poster sessions at the conference have been accepted by the ICHC2007 selection committee. The grants cover direct travel costs to Berne. Conference fees, accommodation and other expenses are not covered.

The American Friends of the J. B. Harley Research Fellowships Inc. hopes to be able to award several travel grants. The selection
committee, consisting of the directors of the American Friends of the J. B. Harley Research Fellowships Inc., will consider
all written application letters received by the conference secretariat by October 1st, 2006. The application letter should explain the need for such support and what impact the conference is likely to have on their scholarly or professional career. It should also include a detailed budget of the probable travel costs to Berne.

Applicants will be notified by January 15, 2007.
The selection of potential recipients of these grants will be made by the directors based on the expected quality of the applicants' contribution to the conference. The decision will
be made without regard to nationality, ethnic origin, gender, religious affiliation, age, discipline, or profession.
Successful applicants are requested to write a short report, due to the chairman of the American Friends of the J. B. Harley Research Fellowships Inc. by September 30, 2007, describing how the travel grant was expended and how the ICHC2007 contributed to their professional development. The report must be accompanied by receipts for all travel costs covered by the award.
