4.1  General Information

4.2  Paper Proposals

4.3  Session and Workshop Proposal

4.4  Poster Proposals

4.5  Selection of Papers, Sessions and Posters

All proposals first go through an anonymous review process, that is, the selection committee is not provided with the names or positions of the authors. Originality and significance, as well as relevance to the history of cartography are the criteria for inclusion in the programme.

The selection committee has decided definitely on the choice of sessions, papers and posters, and has already informed all applicants of the provisional acceptance or the final rejection of the proposals.

The acceptance of a session or a paper remains provisional until the applicants have paid the conference fees for the complete conference week. Payment should be made at the latest by March 15, 2007. Please be aware that conference fees are reduced if payment is made before February 15, 2007 (see section 5.1). We expect presenters to stay for the whole conference and to participate in the scientific exchanges also before and after their presentations. Presenters will be required to register for the entire conference.

If your proposal is accepted, you will be invited to revise your abstract until January 31, 2007. The selection committee may shorten abstracts that do not adhere to the length as indicated above.

In addition, presenters who are native speakers of either German or French are also asked at this point to provide abstracts and the curriculum vitae in their mother tongue. Please make use of this option. The deadline for submission is also February 15, 2007.

The abstracts of all sessions, papers and posters will be distributed in all three conference languages to the conference participants.
